Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Solutions Manager to lead a team of developers within the Innovation Solutions team at Dayforce. This role blends technical leadership, people management, and solution delivery, focused on building a wide range of tools, automations, and scalable solutions that support internal teams such as Services, Implementation, Customer Success, Support, and more. You will play a key role in driving innovation across the organization by delivering impactful solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience. This role requires a strong technical foundation across modern development stacks, cloud infrastructure, and AI-driven capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities / What you’ll get to do:

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Drive the design and delivery of scalable tools, automations, and solutions that support multiple internal business functions.

Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from ideation through deployment and ongoing support.

Partner with stakeholders across Services, Implementation, Customer Success, Support, and other internal teams to identify opportunities and deliver value-driven solutions.

Translate business challenges into technical solutions and guide the team through execution.

Establish and enforce best practices in architecture, coding standards, testing, and deployment.

Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and cloud best practices.

Assess risks, dependencies, and impacts on existing systems as new capabilities are introduced.

Provide technical guidance through code reviews, architectural decisions, and hands-on support when needed.

Promote agile methodologies and a continuous delivery mindset across the team.

 

Qualifications / Skills and experience we value:

Minimum 5 years of experience managing and leading software development teams.

Strong technical background with hands-on experience in Python, C#, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React).

Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly Azure infrastructure.

Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and their practical application in business solutions. Solid understanding of modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, APIs, JSON, etc.).

Strong experience with relational databases and SQL. Experience working in agile development environments. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

 

Nice to have:

Experience building enterprise-scale internal tools and automation solutions.

Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience designing secure and scalable APIs. Familiarity with analytics or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).

Experience working within large, cross-functional organizations.
