C-Care International, part of the healthcare cluster of CIEL Group, is a Mauritian private healthcare group that owns and operates four healthcare facilities in Mauritius, namely C-Care Darné, Wellkin, Grand-Baie and Tamarin, and two hospitals in Uganda, C-Care IHK and IMC. C-Care also owns and manages 22 primary care Clinics and 55 C-Lab collection centres in Mauritius, Uganda, and Madagascar.


C-Care is currently looking for a Financial Analyst to be based at C-Care Corporate Office, in Mauritius.


| Financial Analyst


Reporting to the Manager of Internal Control, the selected candidate will provide valuable financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making, budget monitoring, operational efficiency, and performance improvement across C-Care business units, ensuring alignment with the organization's financial and strategic objectives.


What you will be doing:                                                     

  • Support the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts and medium-term financial plans.
  • Prepare budget templates, consolidate inputs and challenge assumptions where required.
  • Analyse actual performance against budget, forecast and prior periods.
  • Highlight risks, opportunities and financial impacts to management in a timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, dashboards and financial performance packs.
  • Analyse revenue, gross contribution, OPEX, payroll, margins and key operating indicators.
  • Prepare clear variance commentaries explaining the reasons behind performance movements.
  • Track agreed action plans and follow up with responsible owners until closure.
  • Prepare and review departmental P&L reports for HOD acknowledgement and sign-off.
  • Analyse cost per department, ward, service line or activity metric to identify inefficiencies.
  • Support cost control initiatives around consumables, drugs, stock, payroll and overheads.
  • Benchmark performance across business units and share opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with IT/BI teams to improve automated dashboards and reduce manual reporting.
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness and consistency between HIS, ERP and finance reports.
  • Build Excel models and analytical tools to support pricing, costing and operational decisions.
  • Translate financial data into practical insights for management and operational teams.
  • Support month-end closing through analysis, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in reviewing stock, consumption, mark-up, revenue leakage and cost allocation controls.
  • Maintain proper working papers and documentation for audit and internal review purposes.
  • Escalate unusual trends, gaps, errors or control weaknesses to the line manager.
  • Partner with operations and support functions to promote ownership of financial performance.
  • Support business cases, investment reviews, savings initiatives and process improvement projects.
  • Present analysis in a simple, structured and action-oriented manner to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Perform any other finance analysis or reporting duties aligned with business requirements.

What are we looking for?

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
  • ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification / part-qualification is an advantage.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, management accounting, audit, business analysis or similar finance role.
  • Healthcare, hospital, pharmacy, stock management or multi-site experience is an advantage.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, P&L reporting, cost control and KPI tracking.
  • Advanced Excel; Power BI / BI dashboarding and ERP/Office dynamics exposure would be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of reconciliations, controls, stock costing and revenue/cost drivers.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, ethical and confidential.
  • Good communication, business partnering, problem-solving and presentation skills.
  • Organised, deadline-driven, proactive and comfortable working with finance and non-finance teams
