Job Description
Engaged in the continuous supply of locally refined
and packed edible oils as well as a range of quality products, Mauritius Oil
Refineries Ltd. (Moroil) is seeking a Driver Salesman to join its team.
Summary:
The Driver Salesman is responsible for the selling and
delivery company products to customers, collecting payments, and ensuring
excellent customer service while maintaining safe and efficient driving
practices. The role involves loading and unloading goods, checking delivery
documents, managing stock on the vehicle, and ensuring compliance with company
procedures, road safety regulations, and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
·
Deliver company products
to customers in a timely, safe, and professional manner.
·
Promote and sell company
products to existing and potential customers during delivery rounds.
·
Load, unload, check, and
handle goods carefully to prevent damage or shortage.
·
Verify delivery notes,
invoices, stock quantities, and customer orders accurately.
·
Collect payments, issue
receipts where applicable, and submit daily sales and delivery reports.
·
Maintain good customer
relationships and report customer feedback, complaints, or sales opportunities.
·
Ensure the vehicle is
kept clean, roadworthy, and used in accordance with company policy.
·
Comply with road safety
regulations, company procedures, hygiene, health, and safety standards.
·
Perform any other cognate duties related to the post
and department.
Qualifications &
Experience:
Must be
holder of a valid Goods Vehicle Driving Licence.
Previous experience as a driver, delivery driver, salesman, or in a similar customer-facing distribution role would be an advantage.
Good knowledge of routes and delivery areas in Mauritius would be an advantage.
