Job Description
Role Overview: The IT Cards
& Payments Officer is responsible for executing projects and providing
ongoing support to the Bank on all cards and payment-related matters. This
includes configuring new card products, troubleshooting issues with internal
systems and external partners, and ensuring smooth operations of cards and
payment services.
Key duties and responsibilities:
·
Analyse and solve technical, system
and production issues, and document resolutions/workarounds, update technical
documentation and test scripts.
·
Execute recommendations following
approval from the service provider.
·
Provide regular, concise and clear
feedback on work progress to the Team Lead and other stakeholders.
·
Attend with the investigation of
issues associated with Cards, ATMs, POS, EFT, Transaction settlement using Back
Office Tools and Card Management System as well as Terminal Management System.
·
Assist in implementing projects and
provide support as per guidelines of National Switch/VISA/MasterCard
·
Develop reports using SQL
·
Assist Back Office team with
reconciliation of VISA/MasterCard transactions
·
Ensure root cause analysis and
permanent resolution of card related issues
·
Review and escalate items to card
schemes, application vendor and infrastructure team
·
Prepare work related documentation
·
Participate in projects related to
the Card Management system or any other solution.
·
Perform any other duties that may be
assigned based on skills and competencies.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
·
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any
equivalent qualification.
·
Experience in a customer-facing environment will be an
advantage.
·
Knowledge of Cards Business or Payment solutions would
be an advantage
·
Fully Conversant with Unix, PL/SQL
·
Attention to detail and accuracy
·
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven
·
High standards of honesty, integrity, and professionalism
