SPARC, a subsidiary of Casela Ltd, is the largest multisport complex on Mauritius’ idyllic west coast. Located in the heart of Uniciti smart city, it provides a wide range of health, fitness, sports and leisure experiences. 

We are currently looking for a Head Gym Coach

DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the fitness center; including team member management, program management and facility management
• Manage the gym, its programs & equipment
• Work with the Manager - SPARC to manage staff, schedules, and innovate
• Assess club members by their abilities, level of fitness, and age; discuss goals and a fitness program to reach those set goals
• Be able to develop &/or implement a health assessment plan for members
• Possess an outgoing personality, high level of exercise knowledge and an ability to communicate and train gym members from a broad cross section of age levels and backgrounds
• Conduct fitness classes and workshops
• Develop personal exercise and diet plans for members
• Teach classes for groups on a set schedule
• Conduct Personal Training
• Conduct an annual member satisfaction survey and develop a plan for continuous improvement
• Monitor the misuse of equipment
• Continuously stay up to date with current health and safety standards, and maintain a current first aid certification
• Deal with enquiries, complaints and emergencies
• Prepare the roster system for instructors ensuring optimization of resources
• Manage attendance and trigger any unusual trend
