Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate and procure genuine and alternative motor vehicle spare parts from approved suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, evaluate supplier proposals, and negotiate the best commercial terms.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of spare parts to minimize claim repair turnaround times.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of pricing, quality, delivery, and service levels.
- Maintain and regularly update supplier databases and price lists.
- Collaborate closely with Claims Assessors, Motor Claims Officers, and approved repairers to ensure smooth claims processing.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation without compromising quality or customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with the Company's procurement policies, internal controls, and governance requirements.
- Prepare procurement reports, analyse purchasing trends, and recommend process improvements.
- Resolve supplier issues, shortages, backorders, and delivery discrepancies efficiently.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years' experience in procurement, preferably within the automotive, insurance, or motor spare parts industry.
- Sound knowledge of motor vehicle components and spare parts.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and cost management abilities.
- High level of integrity, organisation, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with procurement or ERP systems would be an advantage.
