2.  Job Purpose

To provide day-to-day accounting and finance support to the Group finance function, while ensuring the smooth running of the Mauritius office through administrative and executive support.

3.  Key Responsibilities

A.  Finance & Accounting Support

     Invoice processing and supplier management – accurate bookkeeping of all invoices, maintenance of supplier records, and accurate, timely payments to suppliers.

     Asset and Lease management – accurate accounting for asset depreciation and lease accounting.

     Operations – cash-flow projections and expense management.

     Budgeting and reporting support – assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.

     Compliance – support adherence to tax laws, accounting standards and internal policies.

     Audit – timely support of internal and external audit.

     Strategic Support - Provide insights to management for decision making and growth.

B.  Treasury & Funder Support

     Funder information management – Accurate maintenance of funder information by ensuring all funder certificates and compliance documents are current, properly signed, and filed.

     Funder payments – accurate accrual of interest and timely processing of interest and principal payments.

     Investor portfolio management – Maintain strong, professional relationships with all stakeholders by responding promptly to queries and providing accurate information

C.  Office Administration & Executive Support

     Coordinate meetings, diaries and travel for the Mauritius office and executive team, including preparing materials and reports.

     Manage office correspondence and documentation with internal and external stakeholders.

     Support the organization of meetings, events and conferences, and follow up on agreed actions.

     Provide general office administration to keep the office running smoothly.

     Act as backup to the Executive Personal Assistant on executive-support duties during absences.

 

4.  Qualifications & Experience

     Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

     Professional certification (ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.

     Minimum 2 years’ experience in financial management, preferably in the financial sector.

5.  Skills & Competencies

     Analytical skills – ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.

     Attention to detail – accuracy in reconciliations, reporting and documentation.

     Communication – clear, professional communication with management and stakeholders.

     Organization & time management – ability to manage competing finance and administrative priorities.

     Digital tools – proficient with Google Workspace and comfortable using AI productivity tools to work more efficiently.

     Discretion & confidentiality – sound judgement in handling sensitive financial and executive information.
