We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team. The role involves preparing financial statements, managing payroll and PAYE compliance, and ensuring adherence to statutory regulations. Candidates should have strong knowledge of IFRS, local tax laws, and proficiency in accounting software and Excel, with a degree in Accounting/Finance or ACCA qualification and at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and maintain financial records in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely reconciliations.
• Oversee payroll processing and PAYE/NPF/NSF contributions.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, Income Tax Act, and Workers’ Rights Act.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor cash flow and provide management with financial insights.
• Support HR/Admin in financial aspects of employee benefits and compensation.
• Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) and local tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or equivalent).
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English and French
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Ethical, trustworthy, and compliance‑oriented.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or ACCA qualification (partly/fully qualified).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting & audit.
