Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists and supports the Sous Chef in the preparation of different food.
- Assists in all food related activities including ordering for supplies and budget control.
- Assist with the selection and training of other Kitchen staff.
- Assists with the planning of receipts & menus.
- Preparation of variety of foods.
- Assists with the preparation, cooking and presentation of different food in the restaurant.
- Assists with the enforcement of health and safety standard within the kitchen.
- Ensures that customers are served quality food and in a manner that is timely.
- Notify Supervisor of any problems or complaints as and when they arise.
- Reports waste to supervisors on a daily basis.
- Checks station upon arrival to determine status of outstanding safety, or equipment issues.
- Checks station prior to leaving to ensure cleanliness, proper disposal/removal of food, and proper storing and labelling.
Candidate's Profile:
- Minimum SC.
- A certification in hospitality or food service management may be prefered
- 3 -5 years experience in the kitchen department
- Should have a high level of personal clealiness
- Be Flexible
- Excellent management and organization skills
- Works well when under pressure
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of international kitchen
