Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and service-oriented B Waitress to join our Beverage team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing prompt, professional, and personalized service while ensuring the highest standards of guest satisfaction
POSITION PURPOSE
- To provide prompt, efficient, and
professional food and beverage service to guests with a positive attitude
and in accordance with the highest hospitality standards.
- To anticipate and respond to guests' needs,
ensuring a memorable dining experience while carrying out any duties
assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational
- To be polite, courteous, and efficient in
dealing with guests' needs and requests.
- To understand the importance of delivering
exceptional customer service at all times.
- To ensure that established service
standards and procedures are consistently maintained.
- To carry out effective service by ensuring:
- Guests are welcomed, greeted, and seated
appropriately.
- Food and beverage orders are taken and
processed accurately.
- Orders are served promptly and
professionally.
- To set up and prepare the assigned station
according to operational standards before each service period.
- To participate actively in all training
sessions, briefings, and departmental meetings.
- To report any health, safety, hygiene, or
maintenance issues immediately to the Supervisor.
- To understand and anticipate guest needs
through observation, communication, and body language.
- To provide attentive service and maximize
revenue opportunities through effective upselling and product knowledge.
- To maintain a thorough knowledge of hotel
facilities, restaurant offerings, promotions.
- To ensure that bills are presented
accurately and returned to the cashier with the correct payment.
- To read and understand event orders and
carry out all setup and service instructions accordingly.
- To maintain a friendly and welcoming
attitude, ensuring all guests feel comfortable and valued.
- To follow the established standards and
procedures when answering telephone calls.
- To ensure the accurate recording, charging,
and collection of all guest consumption during the shift.
- To attend and actively participate in daily
briefings and all scheduled departmental meetings.
Teamwork
- To maintain a positive and professional
working relationship with colleagues, supervisors, and kitchen staff.
- To contribute to a strong team spirit and
support colleagues in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- To communicate effectively with team members
and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- To handle minor guest complaints
professionally and ensure that the Supervisor is informed of all guest
feedback, complaints, and compliments.
- To be punctual, reliable, and maintain the
highest standards of grooming, personal hygiene, and professional
appearance at all times.
- To demonstrate a positive attitude,
flexibility, and willingness to assist guests and colleagues whenever
required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Minimum School Certificate (SC) or equivalent
qualification.
• Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Food &
Beverage Service, or a related field will be an advantage.
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience as a Waiter,
Food & Beverage Assistant, or similar role in a hotel, resort, restaurant,
or luxury hospitality environment.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage service
procedures.
• Good command of English, French and other languages
will be an advantage.
