Job Description

 

The Sales Representative is responsible to promote and sell PV solutions. This role is ideal for an ambitious individual with a strong passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a proactive mindset. Prior experience in the solar industry is not mandatory, as training will be provided; however, a strong drive to achieve sales targets and grow in a technical sales environment is essential.

 

 

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities through:
    • Cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital channels
    • Site visits and field prospecting
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads
  • Develop strategic approaches to target different market segments (corporate, industrial, hospitality, retail and distribution) in link with CEB schemes
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry-related functions

 

Sales Execution

  • Conduct consultations with potential clients to understand their energy needs, consumption patterns, and financial expectations
  • Present photovoltaic solutions in a clear and compelling manner
  • Prepare customized proposals, quotations, and financial analyses (ROI, payback period, savings estimates)
  • Deliver persuasive sales presentations and product demonstrations
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and closing conditions
  • Close sales efficiently while maintaining a high conversion rate

 

Account Management & Customer Relationship Building

  • Develop long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
  • Act as the main point of contact throughout the sales and early implementation process
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and trust
  • Handle objections, resolve concerns, and provide post-sale follow-up

 

Coordination & Project Follow-Up

  • Work closely with technical, engineering, and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Communicate client requirements clearly to internal stakeholders
  • Follow up on project timelines and ensure commitments are met
  • Support collection processes if required

 

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Stay informed about:
    • Solar technology advancements
    • Competitor offerings and pricing strategies
    • Regulatory changes and incentives in renewable energy
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and activity reports
  • Suggest improvements in sales strategy and market approach

 

Target Achievement

  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Maintain strong activity levels (calls, meetings, proposals) to sustain pipeline
  • Continuously improve personal sales performance metrics

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND OTHER PREREQUISITES  

 

  • Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Engineering (optional but beneficial) or related field
  • Solar / photovoltaic experience is NOT mandatory
  • Candidates must demonstrate the ability to learn technical products quickly
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly self-motivated and target-driven
  • Resilient and persistent
  • Energetic and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Good planning and coordinating skills
  • Must be available to work odd hours
  • A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Being a Self-starter and self-motivated is critical
