We are seeking dynamic Industrial Engineers to join our Continuous Improvement team and contribute to transformation projects across our Fabric Mill and Garment Manufacturing operations in Mauritius and Madagascar. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to multiple manufacturing environments while driving measurable business improvements throughout our regional operations.

YOUR MISSION

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Lead Continuous Improvement projects across Fabric Manufacturing and Garment Manufacturing operations.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity, quality, delivery performance and cost efficiency.
  • Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks throughout the value chain.
  • Reduce Work-in-Process (WIP), non-value-added activities and operational waste.
  • Facilitate Kaizen workshops and Continuous Improvement events.

Process Analysis & Performance Management

  • Analyse operational data to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct productivity studies, capacity analysis and benchmarking exercises.
  • Support management teams in achieving operational excellence targets.
Industrial Engineering & Manufacturing Optimization
  • Conduct process mapping, time and motion studies, work measurement and method improvement activities.
  • Develop and optimize layouts, workstation design and material flow systems.
  • Improve production balancing, line efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Support automation and digitalization initiatives where applicable.

Garment Manufacturing Excellence

  • Improve sewing line productivity and efficiency.
  • Support line balancing, SAM validation and capacity planning.
  • Analyse labour productivity and recommend improvement actions.
  • Participate in manufacturing excellence projects across Mauritius and Madagascar facilities.
  • Support best-practice standardization across multiple production sites.

Fabric Mill Excellence

  • Improve performance across knitting, dyeing, finishing and inspection processes.
  • Optimize machine utilization and production flow.
  • Reduce defects, rework and process variability.
  • Support quality improvement and waste reduction initiatives.

Regional Project Exposure

  • Participate in cross-functional and cross-country improvement projects.
  • Work closely with operational teams in Mauritius and Madagascar.
  • Share best practices and drive standardization across manufacturing sites.
  • Support strategic projects aimed at improving competitiveness, customer satisfaction and sustainability.

YOUR PROFILE

Qualifications

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production & Operations Management or related discipline.

Technical Competencies

  • Sound understanding of Industrial Engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to interpret operational data and transform insights into practical solutions.

Personal Attributes

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence teams and drive change.
  • Highly organized and results oriented.
  • Willingness to travel between manufacturing sites in Mauritius and Madagascar.
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.

Added Advantage

  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Root Cause Analysis and Project Management methodologies.
  • Experience within textile, apparel or manufacturing industries.
  • Exposure to multi-site manufacturing operations.
