The Audit Senior role at DGM PARTNERS is a full-time, on-site position based in Port Louis, Mauritius. Reporting directly to the Audit Manager, the Audit Senior will assist for the delivery of financial audits for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Responsibilities include preparing and performing detailed reviews of financial statements, evaluating internal controls, identifying risks, and drafting practical recommendations to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency. The role involves supervising and mentoring junior audit team members, tracking assignment timelines and budgets, and maintaining clear, continuous communication with both the Audit Manager and clients throughout the audit process. The Audit Senior will also support the Audit Manager by ensuring fieldwork alignment with broader client relationship objectives.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical expertise in auditing, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant standards and regulations to complex accounting transactions.
- Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and analysing Financial Statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Proven experience leading financial audit fieldwork, including detailed risk assessment, testing program execution, and drafting findings.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to identify trends and assess risks.
- Actively pursuing or holding a recognised professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with relevant progressive experience in external audit or assurance.
- Demonstrated experience supervising, coaching, and reviewing the work of junior audit members, backed by strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to present audit updates and queries to clients and internal management effectively.
- Strong ability to collaborate with and report directly to an Audit Manager, providing clear fieldwork updates and escalating technical issues promptly.
- Advanced Excel skills are required.
