The Audit Manager role at DGM CONSULTANTS is a full-time, on-site position based in Port Louis, Mauritius. The Audit Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of financial audits for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, assessing internal controls, identifying risks, and providing recommendations to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency. The role involves supervising and mentoring audit team members, managing project timelines and budgets, and maintaining clear communication with clients throughout the audit process. The Audit Manager will also support business development activities by contributing to proposals, presentations, and the strengthening of long-term client relationships.

Qualifications:

• Strong technical expertise in auditing, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and analysing Financial Statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Experience leading Financial Audits, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up on findings.
• Well-developed Analytical Skills to identify trends, assess risks, and provide practical, data-driven recommendations.
• Recognised professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) and relevant post-qualification experience in audit or assurance (with a minimum of 1 year as audit manager).
• Experience with investment company audits would be a plus.
• Proven experience managing and coaching audit teams, with strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to clients and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in audit software such as Caseware is a plus; advanced Excel skills are required.
