Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE COMPENSATION & BENEFITS ANALYST
Compensation & Benefits analyst plays a critical role in the Human Resource team to ensure the efficient roll out of the total rewards strategy of the Bank.
The incumbent will champion our organizational success in this field by ensuring precision, innovative analysis and proactiveness in all compensation and benefits initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate as ‘checker’ in the end-to-end processing of monthly payroll with flawless accuracy, strict compliance, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Partner with leadership on for HR analysis, budgeting, variance analysis and monitoring, and financial reporting.
- Analyze our remuneration frameworks to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity and submit recommendations to Management.
- Oversee comprehensive benefits programs, including medical insurance and retirement plans. Serve as the primary subject-matter expert, delivering resolution for all employee inquiries.
- Monitor evolving labor laws, tax codes, and banking regulations, mitigating risk and maintaining strict adherence to statutory deadlines.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of existing internal processes.
- Operate as ‘maker’ for all staff facilities including but not limited to Account openings and maintenance, Bank products and Loan facilities.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Your Track Record
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or a related field.
Candidates holding a certification in Compensation & Benefits will have a definite advantage.
Proven expertise of 4+ years as a Compensation & Benefits Analyst, or as an HR Generalist with dedicated ownership of payroll architecture and management.
Local Legal Acumen
Possess comprehensive expertise in Mauritian employment laws, PRGF, workers' rights regulations, MRA tax frameworks, and statutory compliance guidelines.
Technical Benefits Mastery
Demonstrate a profound structural understanding of corporate healthcare plans, local pension schemes, and robust leave management practices.
Exposure to Staff Facilities related to the Banking Industry would be a definite plus.
Digital Literacy
Sharp efficiency with the Microsoft Office suite to manage, analyze, and present operational data.
Professional DNA & Execution Style
Maintain a meticulous attention to detail, prioritizing absolute accuracy across all calculations and reporting formats.
Maintain the unique ability to execute tasks independently with minimal supervision, while remaining a highly collaborative team champion.
