Executive Housekeeper

The Residence Mauritius is actually recruiting an Executive Housekeeper. As an Executive Housekeeper, you bring a commitment to excellence, a detail-oriented approach, and a genuine passion for ensuring an impeccable guest experience within our dynamic housekeeping team.

Main Responsibilities

·         Responsible of the operation and teams of housekeeping service, laundry facilities, Cleanliness of the Hotel’s Public Area and uniform operations for both guests and staffs

·         Responsible for the Departmental Budget – Capex and Opex and monitor expenditure.

·         Schedule routine daily inspections of all housekeeping areas, corridors and surroundings and all hotel rooms with the team to ensure any deficiencies are rectified

·         Inspect guest and public areas on a regular basis to ensure that the furnishings, facilities and equipment are clean and in good condition.

·         Managing and monitoring the use of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure efficient use and adequate stock levels and cost control.

·         Implements and controls Housekeeping procedures that provide for the health and safety of personnel and guests, such as lost and found service, key control, security and emergency procedures as well evacuation procedures and environmental procedures.

·         Comply with the company code of conduct and collaborate with other department at all times

·         Ability to improve and support Team Members’ knowledge and abilities through on-going training

·         Perform any other tasks at the level of the role as per your line manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals and objectives.

Other requirements and Qualifications

·         Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent

·         At least 5 years’ experience in same position

·         Pleasant and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills

·         Ready to work odd and flexible hours including public holidays and Sundays

·         Ability to work independently and within team

·         Follow hotel standards and procedures
