The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items according to recipes and quality standards. This role involves ensuring that food is cooked to order and delivered promptly, with a focus on quality, consistency, and food safety.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
  • Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment.
  • Ensure food is cooked to the correct temperature and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe kitchen environment.
  • Assist with ordering and inventory management as needed.
  • Work as part of a team, coordinating with servers and other staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Handle special dietary requests or modifications as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic kitchen techniques, knife handling, and food preparation.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
