L'Artigiano (An APTIS Group Company) is seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to oversee its storage operations and ensure optimal inventory accuracy and stock availability.

ROLE PURPOSE
The purpose of the Warehouse Supervisor is to oversee our multi-temperature storage operations and ensure optimal inventory accuracy and stock availability. This role is vital to maintaining product quality across Dry, Moderate, Chill, and Frozen Stores and requires strong leadership, adherence to safety protocols, and seamless communication with internal teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AREAS
1. Stock Management
- Oversee accurate receipt, inspection, and quality control of incoming goods.
- Implement best storage practices across all temperature zones, ensuring product quality.
- Conduct regular checks on expiration dates and initiate necessary write-offs.
2. Inventory Control
- Lead planned inventories, surprise audits, and truck inventories.
- Manage stock discrepancies and adjustments with approvals from the Operations Manager.
- Compile and ensure accuracy of inventory reports for review by Operations and Finance teams.
3. Forklift Operations & Material Handling
- Supervise safe and efficient use of forklifts for storage and transport.
- Conduct forklift operations when needed, ensuring team adherence to safety protocols.
4. Safety & Compliance
- Maintain warehouse standards for health, safety, and hygiene.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols and hazard prevention measures.
5. System Updates & Record Keeping
- Keep storage capacity and stock level systems up-to-date, ensuring accuracy.
- Document all stock movements, write-offs, and stock transfers between warehouses.
6. Team Leadership & Coordination
- Coordinate with departments on stock availability, delivery schedules, and logistics.
- Lead and develop store employees, scheduling, training, and managing performance.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Management or related field
- At least 5 years’ experience in Store Operations/Warehousing, ideally in food distribution sector
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Warehousing, Purchasing, Stock Management)
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Sound knowledge of stock management/ warehousing
- Basic knowledge of audit procedures
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for managing dry and chilled goods.
- Holder of a Food Handler Certificate
- MS Office
- Strong leadership, organizational skills, and a proactive mindset
