RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE POSITION OF WAITER/ CHEF DE RANG:
1. To understand the need for, and ensuring good service standard
2. To regularly converse with the guests
3. To give a good service and be able to upsell at every occasion.
4. To be knowledgeable about the hotel and the island
5. To offer condiments of the correct dish and see that all items reach the table.
6. Ensure that the bill goes to the table and that it returns to the cashier with the correct payment made.
7. To read events order and carry the instructions in setting-up.
8. To have knowledge of, and to use selling techniques to ensure highest possible revenue from guests.
9. Ensure efficient recording, collecting and charging of all consumption within the Restaurant during your shift and cash-up after each service period.
EXPERIENCE
1-2 years experience in the tourism/hotel industry sector.
CANDIDATE'S PROFILE
1. NTC in Restaurant and Bar desirable, but not necessary
1. Possess a good understanding, written and spoken of both the English and French languages. Knowledge of a third language is a plus.
2. Presents well - neat appearance
3. Be able to work in a team, as well as independently
4. Ability to take ownership of their role
4. Should be customer oriented
