Key point of contact for provision of technical support and advice om a range of products. First line support for all client’s technical inquiries and applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to clients.
Direct Responsibilities:
- Provision of pre-sales technical awareness and product education.
- Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
- Conducting seminars / conferences, making technical presentations, and demonstrating how the company product meets and/or exceeds client needs.
- Visiting regularly Consulting Engineers for specifying products marketed by the Company.
- Developing long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements.
- Persuading clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery.
- Provide technical assistance during negotiation of tenders and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs.
- Providing technical assistance, training and producing support material for other members of the sales and marketing team of the Company.
- Promoting new imported / locally produced products.
- Responsible for the training unit of STR.
- Work closely with sales force to ensure that projects for contracts are specified with products sold by the Company whether imported or locally manufactured.
- Any other cognate duties as may be assigned to you by the Management.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure your understanding of the Company’s Mission Statement & Quality Policy.
- Compliance with the Company’s Safety and Health Policy / Procedures within the Organisation. Respect and implement the Quality Management Systems policies and procedures.
- Consider any report from company sales staff and sort out encountered problem at your level to the best of your capability.
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformity, recommend or provide solution through designated channels, verify the implementation of the solution.
- Ensure training needs analysis is performed and that required training / awareness sessions are conducted with the staff.
- Manage your work team and staff in general to help meeting goals & objectives of your department.
