The role of Team Leader Customer Accounts is to build and sustain effective working relationships with customers while ensuring control over new potential delinquent accounts and safeguard the companies interests.

 

Key Responsibilities

Customer

  • Instill a customer centric culture in the collection process and build strong relationships with customer in order to decrease and control the delinquent account ratios
  • Implement and maintain an Account Management type relationship with customers
  • Take decisions and handle calls/customers requiring special attention
Profit
  • Ensure effective debt collection and meet set objectives per line of business
  • Ensure provisioning is controlled and within budget
People
  • Manage team on day to day basis and motivate, retain, coach and take action as deemed necessary
  • Manage performance and provide on the job coaching based on feedback received from Voice of the Customer / Quality assurance / Complaints handling team
Business Process / Reporting
  • Ensure company procedures are followed and address non-compliance
  • Modify existing processes / methods to promote productivity / effectiveness and update recovery path as required as part of business process improvement
  • Participation of project supporting the wider organisation objectives
  • prepare ageing analysis / performance / report and recommendations for all line of business on a daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
