Currimjee Real Estate Ltd is offering a one-year Youth Employment Program (YEP) training opportunity for an aspiring Trainee Property Officer to support the smooth operation and maintenance of multiple properties in Port-Louis.

Key Learning and Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of the Property Manager, you will:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of multiple properties, ensuring functionality and efficiency.
  • Supervise and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections to assess facility conditions and implement timely maintenance solutions.
  • Manage contracts and liaise with external service providers (cleaning, security, maintenance, etc.) to ensure high service standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, addressing concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensure all properties comply with company policies, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies for property improvement and cost optimization.
  • Maintain accurate records of property maintenance, budgets, and service agreements.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align property management strategies with corporate goals.
  • Resolve property-related issues through proactive problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.

Candidate Profile:

  • Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Property Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Good technical knowledge of property maintenance, building operations, and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Client-oriented approach with a strategic mindset for problem-solving and service enhancement.
  • Good planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
