Avacor Ltd is looking for a Systems Administrator
Main purpose of the job:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Systems Administrator to manage our company's IT infrastructure and ensure the smooth operation of our network and systems. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure, providing technical support to the Electronic Security Department, and ensuring the security and integrity of our IT environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain the company's network infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the Electronic Security Department.
- Troubleshoot network issues and ensure smooth connectivity for users.
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and software applications.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, email systems, and antivirus protection.
- Ensure data backup procedures are in place and conduct regular backups.
- Resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Implement and manage security measures to protect the company's systems, networks, and data.
- Monitor for security breaches and investigate them promptly.
- Conduct regular security audits and maintain security documentation.
- Assess the company's current and future technology needs.
- Recommend upgrades and improvements to IT systems and infrastructure.
- Research new technologies and propose innovative solutions.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers to procure IT equipment and services.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Document IT processes, configurations, and changes.
Profile:
- Minimum HSC holder.
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and security best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Drivers' License compulsory.
