Avipro Co. Ltd company of the Eclosia Group, is a pioneer in the poultry sector in Mauritius. Its main activities are breeding and production, grouped respectively under the Farming and Processing entities.
Main duties and responsibilities
Building/Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensure the proper upkeep of the production site’s buildings and infrastructures.
Regular Inspections: Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues related to the building and its systems, ensuring a safe and efficient operation.
Projects Management: Plan and manage facility improvement projects such as upgrades, renovations, and new installations, ensuring minimal disruption to plant operations.
Coordination with External Parties: Liaise with external service providers, contractors, and syndic to ensure all work is completed to standard and in a timely manner.
Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on facility operations, maintenance costs, and the progress of ongoing projects to the management team.
Team Leadership: Lead a team of Maintenance Technicians, providing guidance, support, and ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations. Implement and monitor safety protocols to protect employees and maintain a safe working environment. Ensure that all subcontractors adhere to the same health and safety standards and protocols.
Profile
Education and Experience:
A degree in Facility Management, Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5-7 years of experience in facilities management with proven skills in coordinating new and renovation projects, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience in the food processing or poultry industry is a plus.
Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), maintenance processes, and facility management best practices.
Skills and Competencies:
Proficiency in using business related software and tools, knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques, and familiarity with health and safety regulations.
Keen eye for detail to identify issues during inspections, and strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve maintenance challenges effectively.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with external service providers, contractors, and internal stakeholders, and to present reports to management.
Proven leadership abilities to manage and motivate a maintenance team, ensuring efficient and effective task completion.
