we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Intern (Data Scientist) for 6 months. This role is part of our effort to apply data-driven strategies to energy-related processes within Bel Ombre.

 

Aligned with Rogers Group’s commitment to sustainability, we aim to innovate and enhance how we integrate energy solutions across our operations. As part of the MRIC-funded Project RIB2301, “Towards an Innovative Energy Model for the Region of Bel Ombre,” we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Intern (Data Scientist) for 6 months. This role is part of our effort to apply data-driven strategies to energy-related processes within Bel Ombre.

 

 

Your Responsibilities :

 

  • Energy Modeling: Assist in designing and implementing energy models that align with the project’s sustainability objectives.
  • Project Oversight: Manage sub-project resources effectively, ensuring timely reporting and alignment with overall goals.
  • Data Analysis: Clean, analyse, and interpret energy consumption data, with GIS tools and data management expertise as an advantage.
  • Impact Assessment: Monitor project progress, assist in report preparation, and contribute to accountability efforts with stakeholders.

 

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Academic Background: Pursuing or holding a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in data modeling and analysis using Python or MATLAB; Python front-end development experience is a bonus.
  • Knowledge Enthusiast: Interested in mathematics, modeling, and green technologies.
  • Tools Savvy: Familiar with project management tools like Microsoft Project or Excel.
  • Effective Communicator: Able to present complex data insights clearly and confidently in both written and verbal formats.
