Our client is seeking to recruit a Storekeeper who will be responsible for the efficient management of the store or warehouse, ensuring that all inventory is accurately accounted for, properly stored, and readily accessible.

 

The role involves receiving, checking, recording, and distributing goods, as well as maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the store. The Storekeeper will also be responsible for tracking inventory levels and ensuring that stock is replenished as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Record and document all inventory transactions in the system.
  • Organize and store goods in their designated locations, ensuring easy accessibility and proper labelling.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Ensure that goods are stored in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Work closely with the logistics team to coordinate deliveries and manage shipping schedules.
  • Generate inventory reports and provide updates to management as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure that the warehouse is in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist internal departments with inventory-related inquiries and requests.
  • Resolve any issues related to stock discrepancies or damaged goods.
  • Provide support during audits and inspections.
Profile:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in warehouse management or logistics is an advantage.
  • Proven experience as a storekeeper, warehouse clerk, or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse software.

Other Skills:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
