The Steward is responsible to operate his section and ensure that all hotel standards with regard to hygiene, opening and closing procedures, productivity and speed of service are followed as per the hotel standard.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- As Steward you are responsible to support your superior to run a smooth operation.
- The Steward must report to the superior in charge of the kitchen before the end of his duty to sign his daily task list according the hotel procedures.
- You are responsible to ensure the proper use of chemicals to clean designated items.
- Ensure to set up and organise work stations with designated supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages to your supervisor.
- Assist the culinary and food and beverage staff as necessary.
- You are responsible for a proper handling of any silver, china and glassware and locate them in the assigned area.
