We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Supervisor to join our new Italian Shop of fresh and dry food imported produce. As a Shop Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the daily operations of our store run smoothly and efficiently.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily shop operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve targets.
  • Train new employees on shop policies, procedures, and customer service excellence.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking products.
  • Implement sales promotions and merchandising strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting shop environment for customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional manner.
  • Respect opening and closing procedures as advised, including cash management.
  • Assist customers with purchases to up-sell and cross-sell.
  • Excellent knowledge of the products and services offered.

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail management training is a plus.
  • Proven experience in retail management or a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in both English and French.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Familiarity with sales reporting and inventory management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to handle stressful situations effectively.
