Shop Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our new Italian Shop of fresh and dry imported produce (Food).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security
• practices.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and making product selections.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register and point-of-sale systems.
• Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
• Restock shelves, replenish inventory, and maintain product displays as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in retail is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in both French and English
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues and management.
