Job Overview:
The role of the Senior/Lead Software Test Automation Engineer is to ensure that the digital products we build are delivered with the highest quality possible to our clients. You will also be actively involved in providing support to junior team members via training, reviewing and coaching activities where required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and support.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation in QA practices.
- Design, Review and Execute Manual test cases within Azure Test Plan.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using [Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or Ranorex].
- Implement and optimize test automation frameworks and processes.
- Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity.
- Analyse complex issues, provide detailed defect reports, and work closely with stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in QA methodologies and tools.
- Build and Review Training syllabus and materials on QA Processes and Automation Tools.
- Deliver training on QA Processes and Automation Tools.
- Good communication skills (verbal & written) to achieve excellent customer service.
- Being a team player and flexible.
- Take ownership and closely follow up on project(s) assigned, ensuring targets are met.
- Manage and report on QA metrics and performance.
Education:
Degree holder in IT/IT related fields
Skills/ Experience:
- At least 5-7 years’ experience in Quality Assurance.
- Certification such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board), CSTE (Certified Software Tester), or similar can be advantageous.
- Understanding of tracking and versioning systems (TFS, Git, Azure DevOps).
- Experience in Object Oriented Programming Languages (C# / Java / JavaScript).
- Proficient in SQL queries.
- Experience with Testing software such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Postman.
- Experience with Test/Project Management Tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, etc.
- Experience in working in Agile development teams.
- Experience of continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD) systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
