Island Life Assurance Co. Ltd is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accounting Associate to join our Finance team. This role is important in supporting the smooth functioning of our financial operations, focusing on premium collections, payment processing, and financial reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately allocate premium collections in systems, monitor deposits, and clear them regularly.
- Prepare policyholder payment claims, including cheques, bank transfers, and interbank payments.
- Process payments through Kissflow PO/PI and conduct bank reconciliations for ILA and IMPF.
- Assist in preparing monthly/quarterly/yearly IMPF accounts and annual reports for ILA and IMPF.
- Reconcile housing loans, policy loans, and old premium products to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Coordinate intercompany balances and assist in ledger analysis and investment entries.
- Address customer inquiries via Premium@ila and provide timely resolutions.
- Develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction and enhance the premium collection process.
- Contribute to ILA’s digitalization projects and assist in the implementation of IFRS17 and IFRS 9.
- Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance in SharePoint, keeping records up to date.
- Review and refresh schedules for account listings to ensure proper documentation and process flow.
- Collaborate with the finance team to share responsibilities in the preparation of schedules and annual reports.
- Support team efforts in maintaining effective financial operations and service delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Holder of an ACCA Level 2, degree in Finance or a related field.
- Well verse with MS Office Tools, (Excel, Word & Powerpoint).
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
