Senior Accountant
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
•Ensure preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports in collaboration with the internal and external concerned parties
•Work with the operations HODs to keep their financial KPIs in the set parameters. to mitigate actions and manage risks
•Verification of bank reconciliations and approval of bank transfers for payments (suppliers, interbank transfers and bank transactions)
•Follow reporting actions set by the FM for submission of financial data, and for the reviewal and validation of tax returns
•Review and strengthen the internal accounting control procedures to ensure the proper financial wealth of each Business Units
•Ensure that recommendations from Auditors’ reports are followed and duly implemented, and report on same to the FM
•Make sure that bank balance are followed up and that customers’ overdue payments are tracked and chased
•Perform verification of expenses and ensure approval of customers’ and suppliers’ documents and invoices
•Prepare and manage proactively the cashflow and treasury forecasts
•Prepare, supervise, and complete monthly and yearly budgets and capital expenditures as per set objectives
•Management expenditures and revenues versus budget to achieve required level of profit and return on Operating Assets
Qualification and Profiles
•Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA) or related field
•At least 5 years as Accountant with experience with an integrated ERP
•Well versed in related laws, regulations and procedures
•Advance MS Office tool
•Ability to achieve results within set deadlines, with a problem-solving approach
•Capable of developing and coaching others to maximize effectiveness and driving inclusion
•Dynamic, detail-conscious and well organized, focusing on Quality and Metrics
•Capable of displaying a high level of confidentiality and commitment
•Excellent interpersonal communication skills in French and English
