DUTIED AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The primary responsibility of a hotel security is to protect the hotel and the guests, employees and property.
- Hotel security guards must keep a log book of anything unusual or problematic that happens, and they often act as a liaison between police and hotel in the event that something happens.
- Hotel security guards spend the majority of their time patrolling the grounds and premises of the hotel, or monitoring the hotel via security cameras. They report to either the head of security or the Operations manager.
- Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft or unusual occurrences.
- Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises.
- Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, or machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
- Monitor and follow up access of all non-hotel staff in and out the hotel.
- Identifying objects, actions and events – Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
- Assisting and caring for others – providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers and customers.
- Communicating with supervisors and peers – providing information to supervisors, co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
- Conduct any other cognate duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
Professional Experience & Requirements:
- Qualification: School Certificate
- Fluent in English and French both oral and written
- IT literate and proficient with MS Office applications
- Available to work on flexible hours.
