Scaffolding and Formwork Manager

The scaffolding and formwork Manager is responsible for managing overall operations of the department including planning and scheduling of deliveries and collection of scaffoldings and formworks to and from sites.

 

  • Liaise with site management teams to get their requirements with regards to scaffolding and formworks.
  • Prepare master planning including requests of both scaffoldings and formworks for various sites.
  • In coordination with Planning department, to derive forecasted requirement for at least a year and take the necessary action proactively, ensuring that scaffolding is available at all times.
  • Coordinate with site teams to ensure that requests for scaffolding and formworks are entertained on time.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and records of all scaffolding and formwork items present on sites and stock yard.
  • Always keep track of all scaffolding and formwork components during movements among sites and update records.
  • Ensure regular, quarterly, general stock-take is planned and carried out. Thereafter, report to be generated and circulated to management, detailing:
    • Stock quantities,
    • Stock compliance to requests from sites,
    • Variations on forecasts,
    • Stock take issues found on sites and/or yard,
  • Liaise with Transport & logistics and other departments for daily operations and information flow.
  • Check daily deliveries & returns and update records accordingly.
  • Ensure that scaffolding and formwork components are correctly loaded and secured on trucks.
  • Ensure that all scaffolding and formwork components are in good working condition.
  • Maintain all scaffolding and formwork components by doing routine checks, plan and supervise necessary preventive maintenance.
  • Prepare daily maintenance progress report and maintenance logs.
  • Oversee repairs, stocks, and place orders for new equipment.
  • Do regular site visits to ensure proper stacking and use of all assets owned by the department.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping in stock yard as well as stacking on sites.
  • Prepare and issue monthly billing for all sites and follow up with finance department.
  • Keep records of all documents processed by the department.
  • Determine resources needed for good running of the department.
  • Report and frequently update the Head of Operations with all constraints and issues preventing the smooth operation of the department and come up with proposed solutions.
  • Abide to company's Safety and Health policy and procedures.
  • Monitor attendance of employees and take actions where required.
  • Provide information, instruction, training and supervision.
