This role will involve overseeing day-to-day sales operations, managing administrative tasks, analyzing sales data, and ensuring that the sales team is equipped with the tools and support needed to meet or exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives, ensuring alignment with the company's sales strategy and objectives.
- Provide guidance, motivation, and performance feedback to sales representatives, helping them achieve individual and team sales goals.
- Conduct regular team meetings to track progress, resolve issues, and share best practices.
- Monitor the daily activities and performance of sales representatives, ensuring adherence to company sales processes and standards.
Sales Strategy and Planning Support:
- Collaborate with the Sales Development Manager to implement and execute sales strategies and campaigns.
- Assist in setting realistic sales targets and KPIs for the team based on market analysis and company goals.
- Support the creation of sales forecasts and reports to track team performance.
Sales Data and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and report on sales performance data, customer feedback, and market trends to inform decision-making.
- Maintain and update accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer information in the CRM system.
- Prepare regular sales performance reports for the Sales Development Manager, identifying areas for improvement or potential opportunities.
Operational Efficiency:
- Manage the daily sales operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of all administrative tasks, such as order processing, invoicing, and customer inquiries.
- Work closely with the marketing, production, and customer service teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of sales campaigns and orders.
- Oversee the implementation of sales tools, technologies, and processes to improve team productivity and efficiency.
Training and Development:
- Assist in the onboarding and training of new sales representatives, ensuring they understand the company’s products, sales processes, and CRM tools.
- Provide continuous learning and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer relationship management.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Support sales representatives in building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales operations, sales management, or a similar role in the manufacturing or paint industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of the paint manufacturing industry and related sales processes is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with occasional travel to meet clients or attend industry events.
- Standard office hours with flexibility as required by the sales team’s activities.
