Sales Manager (Spare parts)

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and overseeing distribution within across the geographic territory of Madagascar for vehicle parts and quincaillerie goods and associated products.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Growth and Target Achievement:

o Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve territory sales targets and revenue goals.

o Monitor performance against sales targets and adjust strategies as needed to drive results.

o Regularly report on sales activities, performance, and progress to senior management.

2. Market Expansion and Distribution Management:

o Identify and evaluate potential new customers, distribution channels, and retail partners.

o Expand product distribution within the assigned territory by working with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.

o Ensure consistent product availability across all key retail outlets and channels.

3. Relationship Building:

o Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including distributors, retailers, and wholesalers.

o Collaborate with clients to drive brand loyalty and repeat business.

o Provide exceptional customer service by resolving issues and addressing customer needs.

4. Product Visibility and Merchandising:

o Implement merchandising and in-store promotional strategies to enhance product visibility.

o Work with retail partners to ensure that products are well-displayed and meet brand standards.

o Monitor and evaluate product placement, pricing, and shelf space within stores.

5. Market Intelligence and Competitor Analysis:

o Gather and analyze market data, including consumer trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.

o Share insights with the management team to adjust strategies and stay ahead of competition.

o Conduct regular market visits to assess consumer behavior and competitor activity.

6. Promotional Activities:

o Plan, execute, and manage in-store promotions, sampling, and trade offers.

o Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure the alignment of promotional activities with the overall brand strategy.

o Track the effectiveness of promotions and make recommendations for improvement.

7. Training and Team Management:

o Train and mentor sales representatives and distributors on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies.

o Lead by example in terms of sales best practices, customer relationship management, and team collaboration.

8. Reporting and Documentation:

o Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and stock levels.

o Prepare and submit regular sales reports, including sales forecasts, market trends, and competitor activities.

o Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.

· Experience:

o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development in the vehicle parts and quincaillerie sales industry.

o Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

o Experience in managing a territory or region with a strong understanding of distribution channels and retail networks.

 

Working Conditions:

· Full-time position, with regular travel within Madagascar.

· Occasional evening and weekend work for events, trade shows, or client meetings.

· Field-based role with the possibility of office work for administrative tasks.

 

This role is critical to driving the growth and market penetration of assigned products across Madagascar. The Sales Manager will play an instrumental role in enhancing the brand’s visibility and sales performance, fostering long-term customer relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the business.
