We are seeking a dynamic & experienced Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience. Fluency in French and English is essential. Candidates with knowledge of plumbing products will have a distinct advantage.
1. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with the company’s growth objetctives.
- Create and implement innovative sales initiatives, promotions, and marketing campaigns to drive business development.
- Identify new market segments and business opportunities to expand market share.
- Monitor sales trends and competitor activity to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Ensure consistent achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
2. Sales Forecasting & Planning
Develop contingency plans for low season or economic downturns.
- Prepare accurate and data-driven sales forecasts to support inventory, production, and resource planning.
- Analyze historical data and market trends to predict demand and seasonality.
- Align sales forecasts with procurement and warehouse departments to ensure adequate stock levels.
3. Sales Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the sales team, ensuring all team members are aligned with sales goals and company values.
- Set clear sales KPIs, assign territories and targets, and monitor performance.
- Conduct regular training and coaching sessions to upskill team members and improve sales techniques.
- Foster a performance-driven culture with regular feedback, recognition, and performance reviews.
- Support HR in recruitment and onboarding of new sales staff.
4. Client Relationship Management & Conflict Resolution
- Serve as the main point of contact for key clients and high-value accounts.
- Build long-term relationships with clients to enhance customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Handle customer complaints or disputes with professionalism and urgency, finding effective resolutions.
- Visit clients as needed to maintain strong customer engagement and satisfaction.
5. Sales Operations Oversight
- Oversee daily operations of the sales department, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, procurement, logistics, finance) to ensure alignment with sales activities.
- Monitor sales pipelines, lead generation, conversion rates, and customer feedback.
- Ensure timely quotation, invoicing, and proper documentation of all transactions.
6. Product Knowledge & Industry Expertise
- Stay updated on product specifications, new arrivals, and industry developments.
- Provide training to the sales team on product features and customer benefits.
- Knowledge of plumbing materials and hardware is a significant plus.
7. Profitability & Margin Management
- Track and analyze sales profitability, ensuring margins are protected across all product lines.
- Approve discount structures and special pricing while maintaining financial targets.
- Recommend pricing strategies based on market positioning and cost structures.
8. Strategic Initiatives & Business Development
- Propose and execute ideas and plans to increase sales, expand market presence, and improve client acquisition.
- Lead business development initiatives including partnerships, new distribution channels, and geographic expansion.
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to promote brand and build new connections.
