The role as Spa therapist is key in providing the core of the spa experience: The treatment. It is your responsibility as a Spa Therapist to ensure that we deliver that special, individual and unique service to all guests in the Spa.

 

You are to provide a service that is responsible, spontaneous, personal and genuine. In order to do this, you will require a high level of social skills and the ability to take responsibility for the customer service in NIRA Spa at Shanti Maurice. High standard of presentation is essential together with reliability and punctuality.

At management discretion, direction may be given for task outside the scope of work described.

Will take full responsibility for all related therapist tasks and duties; such as, but not limited to.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 

  • School Certificate minimum
  • NC3 Spa Treatment
  • Flexible on working hours
  • Guest Oriented

 

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Conduct treatments according to spa menu, standards and outlined protocols.
  • Actively promote marketing activities set out by Spa Manager.
  • Promote and sell treatments.
  • Record details of all treatments taken for each client.
  • Be knowledgeable of benefits and outcome in all practiced techniques and treatments.
  • Make product recommendations and meet the retail goals established by NIRA Spa at Shanti Maurice.   
  • Maintain the highest levels of personal hygiene, and to ensure that the treatment rooms are maintained in an impeccable state at all times.
  • Ensure products in place and refilled as per standards and report to Head Therapist/Supervisor on any discrepancies.
  • At all times be gracious and courteous.
  • Provide the highest levels of pre- and post treatment care.
  • Ensure a professional and excellent guest follow-up.
  • Liaise with receptionists to ensure total guest satisfaction.
  • At all times be vigilant with regard to the use of stock, and ensure minimal quantities are used.
  • Assist in stock control.
  • Comply with timekeeping and attendance policies.

 

 

  • Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development.
  • Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures.
  • Comply with company grooming and uniform standards.
  • Be knowledgeable of all areas of daily spa activities and follow the set guidelines Standards of Operation (SOP) and Action Lists of NIRA Spa, at Shanti Maurice.
  • Be present and actively participate in meetings and training that is given by Management.
  • Communicate with each other as well as with Management in timely manner.
  • Participate actively in the departmental training held from time to time. You are equally responsible for self development.
  • Implement Treatments for our guests
  • Be punctual at all times for appointments, team functions and meetings.
  • Apply the qualities of discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times. 
  • Handle any accident or guests incident in a swift and professional manner
  • At all times be available to help Spa Attendant and Spa Receptionist
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries.
