• Play a vital part in the success of the Hotel by continually maximizing opportunities to increase revenue and profit for all the Revenue Centres and by developing successful and effective sales and marketing strategies and plan
- Manage the implementation of the Hotel’s sales and marketing strategies and activities and achieve budgeted top line revenue and profitability maximization
- Establish objectives, set clear priorities and goals and execute necessary Sales and Marketing plans required to achieve financial goals
- Act as first point of contact for all enquiries and manage the full sales process,
- Sell and market the Hotel to potential clients, i.e., leisure and wellness travelers, corporate business, conferences, wedding and event planners
- Develop and implement e-marketing initiatives
- Make product knowledge readily available and ensure insertion and maximum exposure of the Hotel and distribution of marketing collaterals
- Represent the Hotel at trade exhibitions, events, conference/meetings being hosted and make presentations
- Ensure the contents of the Hotel website are portrayed at their best and updated on events, offers and rates
- Manage creative advertising assignments, promotional activities, web or traditional media productions
- Prepare Tour Operator contracts within deadline, generate proposals and contracts
- Reinforce relationships, strengthen and expand customer base
- Monitor, assist and work in collaboration with Hotel partners and General Sales Agents to achieve potential
- Set weekly and monthly sales calls and meetings with business prospects and existing clients
- Conduct familiarization trips and site-inspections proficiently and greet clients
- Build stable revenue base by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Generate monthly creative ideas and events and ensure successful timely implementation
- Continually monitor, measure performance and outcome of actual results versus targets
- Develop the annual sales & marketing budget based on accurate forecasts
- Regularly conduct industry research and perform competitive analysis
- Provide timely Sales and Marketing reports or other reports as may be required to the leadership team, make recommendations and advise of actions taken for optimization, comparing achievements versus plans and budgets, and ensure targets are met or exceeded
- Monitor daily reviews, ranking and grading, use analytics tools to track key metrics and measure performance
- Evaluate performance of distribution channels, i.e., OTAS, Tour Operators, Booking Engine and General Sales Agents
- Manage, inspire, train and supervise Sales & Marketing team
- Stay attuned to trends in travel industry
- Provide trainings and coaching regularly of offers, events and promotions to team members
- Build strong relationships and work together with Hotel supporting team and Heads of department to derive economically attractive offers and ensure successful materialization.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Studies or Hospitality from a recognized institution
- 8+ years including 5 years in a managerial position and 2 years in a sales position in hospitality. Experience in the luxury hotel industry is an advantage
- Is familiar with hotel Reservation systems and Yield Management
- Proven track record in hotel of similar standard in similar capacity and knowledge of third party website management and GDS
- Knowledge of hotel and sales and marketing operational procedures
- Strong leadership skills and able to inspire and manage a team
- Results oriented
- Positive attitude with strong persuasive and negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Willing and able to travel to establish and maintain client networks
- Pleasant and warm personality, excellent time management, communication
- Well organized with a strong attention to detail
