To clean and maintain all public areas (i.e. hotel lobby, restrooms) and guests rooms in impeccable condition in accordance with Hotel and Hilton Hotel Corporation standards
Essential Functions:
- Clean rooms / suites, as assigned, which includes but is not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming and washing windows / tracks. Reports rooms as clean and available.
- Report all technical issues in rooms / public areas and back of house to HSK Coordinators and Floor Supervisors.
- Follow up on Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually & Bi – Annually tasks and deep cleaning program.
- Responsible for the up keeping and proper use of HSK Trolleys, Cleaning Materials and Equipment
- Clean all public area of the hotel, which includes but is not limited to, Lobby, Offices, Corridors, toilets.
- Strip dirty linens / towels and remove used amenities from room/suite and replace them
- Thoroughly clean sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, countertops, walls, vents and floors with specifically assigned cleaning agents. Dispose of trash
- Dust all furniture and pictures, clean all windows and glass, and vacuum public areas
- Vacuum and dispose of trash in office areas
- Setting up of Check maid cart for supplies / Linen, stock as needed, emptying bins and dirty linen and ensuring proper storage at the end of shift.
- Greet guests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgement.
- Respond to special requests by guests (such as providing extra amenities or service time requests)
Supportive Functions:
- Complete all duties as assigned
- Keep work area neat and organized
- Provide customer service to guests, including information about hotel services, activities and local attractions.
- Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to Safety/Security Department
- Assist co-workers, as requested.
- Any other cognate duties that may be assigned to you by your superior.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
- Ability to arrive to work on time and when scheduled.
- Physically able to move large objects such as: carts, large bags of linen, ironing board.
- Physically able to operate cleaning equipment such as: vacuum cleaners, brooms, spray bottles
- Ability to read and recognize room/suite numbers.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form.
- Ability to learn, follow and enforce standards for cleanliness as they apply to all aspects of suite.
- Ability to follow all safety procedures/standards and able to recognize and act in emergency situations.
- Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment
- Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, stand, and walk in public areas for extended periods of time
- Ability to understand and follow directions, and perform job functions with limited supervision
