A Revenue Accounting Officer (RAO) is responsible for processing airline revenue, which involves data collection, reconciliation, auditing and interline billing.

 

DATA-COLLECTION & STORAGE

  • Verify the reception of data.
  • Monitor that all files received are uploaded in the system.
  • Notify the reception of data and anomalies to the customer.
  • Maintain proper filing and data storage.

DATA INPUT

  • Update master references as and when required and as per defined requirements.
  • Process sales records using internal quality tools and ensure anomalies are notified in due time to the customer.
  • Process invoices received from other airlines with IATA reports.
  • Process uplifted/NoShow documents with flight operations report and Departure Control System messages.

DATA PROCESSING

  • Reconcile sales and refund figures with airline or any other external reports.
  • Process own and other airline documents as per IATA Rules and Regulations.
  • Analyze and audit sales/refunds and take appropriate actions to correct anomalies.
  • Process invoices and initiate correspondences to other airlines for uplifted and rejected documents within set deadlines.
  • Submit billings via appropriate governing body.

QUALITY CONTROL

  • Correct and log errors through established procedures.
  • Take corrective actions for errors detected.

REPORTING

  • Generate and analyze airline statistical reports and any other reports as per customer requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Holder of Higher School Certificate, Diploma or certificates in IATA, or any related qualifications.
  • Previous experience in the aviation industry is a definite advantage (ticketing, booking, cargo, and freight management, etc)
  • Able to understand and effectively deal with changes in business needs as they arise.
  • A great eye for detail and the ability to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Fluency in French and English.
  • Knowledge and experience in IT tools.
