Asmara Beach Restaurant, located at Pilote Road, Les Salines, Black River, is seeking a proactive and customer-oriented Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure the highest standards of service in our restaurant.

 

Job Overview:

In this role, you will manage and support front-of-house staff, ensure a seamless guest experience, and contribute to the overall success of the restaurant. You will be the key point of contact for both guests and staff, handling guest inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a positive atmosphere.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient operations.
  • Ensure all restaurant staff are trained and fully knowledgeable of menu items, daily specials, and restaurant policies.
  • Manage guest interactions, including greeting and seating, taking reservations, and addressing complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback, coaching, and training to enhance team performance and customer service.
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of restaurant events, special promotions, or catering functions.
  • Ensure that food and beverage orders are served promptly and correctly to guests, and ensure that all orders meet restaurant standards.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, inventory checks, and setting up and breaking down service areas (restaurant operations).
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and timely service of food and beverages.
  • Maintain a positive and professional work environment, fostering teamwork and collaboration among staff.
  • Handle administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, and inventory management as needed.
  • Stay current with restaurant trends, customer feedback, and industry best practices to improve service standards.

Qualifications:

  • +3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house service, customer service standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a calm, professional demeanor in handling customer complaints or difficult situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Diploma/Degree in hospitality.
