The Purchasing Officer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the delivery of materials, equipment, and services essential for our construction projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and purchase materials, tools, and equipment in line with project requirements.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.
  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely approvals.
  • Track and coordinate deliveries to construction sites to align with schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier agreements, and inventories.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with site teams to anticipate and meet project material needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and relevant regulations.

Key Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the construction or related industry.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Computer literate in software such as Google Sheets and purchasing software.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
