Assist the Purchasing Manager for the procurement of goods, office supplies, general merchandise and maintenance equipment.
Main Responsibilities and Position Purpose:
-Assists the Purchasing Manager in the daily operation of the purchasing department.
-Ensure all purchase orders are approved and sent to suppliers promptly.
-Liase and negotiate with suppliers for better quality at best price.
-Follow up with receiving office for orders pending delivery.
-Assist other departments for any last minute order.
-Maintain a good business relationship with suppliers.
Potential team members will ideally need the following profile:
- Good interpersonal communication (written and oral) skills
- An outgoing and friendly personality with a true passion for the hotel/hospitality industry.
- Holder of a valid driving license.
It would be advantageous in this position to demonstrate the following capabilities:
-High School graduate or equivalent required.
-Experience in hospitality industry preferable.
-Computer literate with good Microsoft Office Excel skills
