Ekium AMIO Ltd is a growing engineering company based in Mauritius and part of the French EKIUM Group, a world leader in engineering design.

 

1. Design & Engineering:

  • Develop mechanical design documentation for industrial installations (e.g., tank farms, piping networks, pump systems, pressure vessels, HVAC if applicable).

  • Perform technical calculations (pipe sizing, pressure drop, thermal expansion, etc.).

  • Generate equipment specifications, datasheets, material selection, and requisitions.

  • Review vendor documentation and ensure compliance with project requirements.

  • Use 2D/3D design software tools (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, SolidWorks, etc.) and coordinate with draftsmen.

  • Ensure designs comply with local and international standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).

2. Project Management Support:

  • Contribute to the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and resource planning.

  • Participate in project kick-off meetings, design reviews, and progress reporting.

  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, instrumentation, process).

  • Monitor engineering deliverables and ensure timely submissions.

3. Client & Stakeholder Interface:

  • Serve as a technical point of contact for mechanical scope with clients and partners.

  • Understand client needs and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations.

4. Site Supervision & Technical Support:

  • Participate in site visits for surveys, installation follow-up, and commissioning support.

  • Ensure mechanical works are executed according to design, specifications, and safety norms.

  • Issue site instructions, monitor contractor activities, and assist in resolving technical issues on-site.

5. Quality, Safety, and Compliance:

  • Ensure all designs and works adhere to EKIUM’s quality assurance processes.

  • Promote safe engineering practices and actively participate in HSE reviews.

  • Support risk assessments and participate in HAZOPs when required.


Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 3–7 years of experience in mechanical engineering within a design office or engineering consultancy.

  • Familiarity with industrial projects: storage tanks, mechanical installations, utilities, etc.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical standards and industrial norms.

  • Proficient in CAD software and engineering calculation tools.

  • Good knowledge of project lifecycle and multidisciplinary coordination.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both English and French.

  • Autonomous, rigorous, and capable of working under pressure and deadlines.
