The job incumbent shall assist in the global procurement efforts to efficiently and effectively enable the company to maximise the value received from suppliers to meet their objectives by building strong relationship with suppliers.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist the procurement department and adhere to processes in place
- Prepare costing sheets
- Preparation of Sales orders/Purchase orders and follow up of approval
- Preparation of Shipping instructions to be sent to supplier
- Liaise with suppliers for prompt delivery of goods and records any order discrepancies
- Assist in booking of shipping space
- Follow-up orders till receipt of goods
- Liaise with logistic department to check documentation
- Follow up of invoicing & Packing list
- Liaise with Accounts Dept to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices
- Assist in preparation of Stock analysis and pricing analysis
- Administrative work
- Assist in shipment booking, liaison with logistics department.
- Follow up and ensure timely and complete set of shipping documents are available to share with logistics dept.
- Constantly update job knowledge.
- Perform any cognate duties within the scope and nature of job
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:
The job holder should ideally possess:
- A Certificate or Diploma in Procurement &/ or logistics or equivalent.
- A knowledge of international products and country macro and micro environment.
- Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
- A knowledge in sales & stocks management, and be customer orientation.
- Knowledge in costing & accounting tools
- Good oral & written communication skills
Experience:
- The ideal job holder should have a minimum of 1 year of working experience in Procurement & or logistics in a dynamic business environment.
