Courts Mammouth is seeking to recruit a results-driven Procurement Analyst to join the Procurement team based in Head Office at Bell Village to help drive its business success through optimized procurement strategies.
The Procurement Analyst will play a critical role in managing its procurement activities by analysing purchasing patterns, supplier performance, and inventory levels. The ideal candidate will work closely with the sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure that we maintain an optimal balance between product availability and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- GMROI Maximization:
- Analyse product categories to identify opportunities for improving gross margins.
- Work with suppliers to negotiate better pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Identify slow-moving and obsolete stock and recommend strategies to optimize product mix.
- Stock Level Optimization:
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s cash flow objectives.
- Utilize data analytics to forecast demand and plan purchases accordingly.
- Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Source new suppliers and products to improve product offerings and profitability.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Conduct regular analysis of purchasing data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Prepare detailed reports on procurement performance, including GMROI and inventory turnover metrics.
- Use data to drive continuous improvement in procurement practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand product demand and market trends.
- Work with the finance team to ensure that procurement strategies align with cash flow and budgetary goals.
- Liaise with operations to ensure timely delivery and efficient stock management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management roles.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with procurement best practices and stock management principles.
- Experience in retail, particularly in technology or appliances, is a plus.
