As a Delivery Planning Officer, you will be responsible for responsible for coordinating and optimizing the delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient distribution of goods to customers. Coordination with various departments to ensure that delivery operations run smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Delivery Schedule Management

a)    Develop and maintain delivery schedules to ensure timely distribution of goods to customers.

b)    Create and manage delivery schedules to meet customer requirements and deadlines.

c)     Adjust delivery plans based on changing priorities, order modifications, and unforeseen circumstances.

2.      Route Optimisation

a)    Optimise delivery routes to minimise transportation costs and maximise efficiency.

b)    Coordinate with warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure availability of products for delivery.

c)     Monitor and track delivery vehicles to ensure adherence to schedules and routes.

 3.      Customer Service

a)    Respond to customer inquiries and resolve delivery-related issues promptly.

b)    Maintain effective communication with customers regarding delivery times and any changes.

 4.      Reporting

a)    Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules, routes, and transportation costs.

b)    Prepare and analyse delivery performance reports to identify areas for improvement.

c)     Ensure proper documentation of delivery transactions and compliance with regulatory requirements.

 

What We Are Looking For:

  • HSC or Bachelor’s degree in logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a delivery planner, logistics coordinator, or similar role.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to analyse data and generate reports to support decision-making.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing delivery schedules and requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, resolve conflicts, and build positive relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
  • Capacity to prioritise tasks, manage time efficiently, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, management, and other departments.
