Main Duties
- Monitor employees’ attendance and lateness and keep accurate record of same
- Ensure compliance with labour legislations
- Ensure payroll calendar deadlines are adhered to
- Responsible for running of payroll process in an accurate and timely manner
- Attend employees’ grievances regarding payroll promptly
- Ensure time sheets are duly approved and relevant entries are input on payroll system
- Calculate and compute additional hours at appropriate rate
- Ensure proper filing and availability of updated databases
- Compile HR metrics and statistics
- Coordinate requests for leaves and other absences
- Prepare filing of returns to relevant authority within time frame
- Assist in budget preparation
Profile
- Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of labour laws and Remuneration Regulations
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good analytical skills and attention to details
- Integrity, discretion and confidentiality
- Competency in MS Office and good mastery of Excel
Qualifications
- Holder of a Higher School Certificate with Maths or Accounts at principal level or alternative equivalent qualifications
- Holder of a Diploma in Payroll Management or alternative equivalent qualifications
- At least 10 years relevant work experience
