PAINTER / HELPER /OPERATOR

• Exterior cleaning, washing and painting of all cylinders, racks and bundles under Company Quality Standards; • Use proper color code to paint cylinders; • To stamp cylinders that pass examination on the curve of the shoulder with the date and company symbol; •

• Ensure availability of painted cylinders for filling
• Use proper color code to paint cylinders;
• To ensure that you wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) ;
• To ensure that all tools used are in good working condition and properly maintained and report any faulty equipment to the supervisor;
• To ensure that all tools are kept safely and neatly.

• To ensure the safe discharge of contents of cylinders before valves removal;
• To ensure that the cylinder is properly clamped in the cylinder clamps during valve removal;
• To ensure neck threads with appropriate tolls and reject cylinders with damaged necks;
• To view the internal surfaces of cylinders with good lighting and reject cylinders with excessive corrosion;
• To ensure that all cylinders have been cleaned properly and tested to the prescribed hydrostatic testing pressure;
• To ensure those cylinders have been dried and purge with nitrogen;
• To stamp cylinders that pass examination on the curve of the shoulder with the date and company symbol;
• To fit the required colored test rings on the cylinders;
• To ensure that valves have been properly fitted on the cylinders with the appropriate tools and torque wrench at the specified torque;
• To ensure that all external protective coating, surface dirt and loose paints are removed;
• To ensure that all cylinders are painted and that the testing pressure is highlighted with the appropriate colour before being delivered to the Operations department;
• To ensure that all cylinders delivered to the Operations department have been tested properly;
• Keep records of every cylinder being tested and report any faulty cylinder. To fill the assessment sheet and ensure that this assessment sheet accompanies the cylinder when delivered to the customer.
